![]() Bob was blessed with eight great-grandchildren Rocco, Ramona, Graham, Beckham, Dominick, Ciro, Grady and Gwendolyn. Surviving grandchildren include: John Ryan (Meghann), Jenna (Ira), Elizabeth (Claudio), Eric (Megan), Sarah, Alexandria, and Connor. A brother, William Allen (Jackie) of Mechanicsburg also survives his beloved older brother. Sebastian (Paul), of Harrisburg and Robert S. Surviving are Bobs children, whom he loved unconditionally Nancy C. ![]() Also predeceased, great-grandson Gabriel. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by siblings, Bud, Charles, Lucy and Dolly. He always looked forward to the annual Spring Golf trip to Virginia. Mid-Life Bob found a passion for the game of golf. Bob enjoyed Penn State Football and watching the 2018 Super Bowl Champs, the Philadelphia Eagles. We all remember the Lions Club Pancake Breakfasts! Some will remember Bob as a building and code enforcement officer for Lower Paxton Township. He volunteered countless hours to serve his community. Bob was very active as a member of the Lower Paxton Lions Club and the American Legion. "The house that Bob built" remains family owned to this day. He was quite proud to have cemented every brick in the home he built in 1954. Bob was a hard worker, spending many years in the construction business. Married June 8, 1949, they spent 66 years together before Mary Anns passing in 2015. After his honorable discharge, Bob went on a blind date and met "a real knockout," Mary Ann Bickhart. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy. Stephens Episcopal Cathedral or more recently, St. and Viola (Smith) Allen, Bob resided in Harrisburg/Colonial Park area his entire life. ![]() Bob, age 90, died Friday, at Brookdale Harrisburg.
